Title

Wrist watch, blackened metal, circa 19th century

Subject

Not on display

Description

Wrist watch, blackened with incomplete and broken serpentine band. Removed from the frame because the framer used glue, synthetic felt, and cardboard. This was done to protect the metal. It was the suspicion of the collections manager that the oxidation of the metal was caused by the cardboard and glues used in the framing. This item is from the Huddle Collection.
